EPISODE DESCRIPTION

During the first half hour of this episode of "Perspectives With Rev. Kelvin Lumpkin," Kelvin interviews Sarasota vice-mayor Kelly Kirschner.
Topics include Kelly's path to city government, his thoughts on the importance of neighborhood associations and community conversations and his views on redeveloping Newtown and North Sarasota and developing and growing Sarasota as a whole - with an eye toward renewable energy and job creation outside the typical realms of tourism and construction...

During the second half of the show, Eric Robinson joins the discussion, which leads to Eric and Kelly offering their opposing perspectives on President Obama's first year in office. Eric is a political consultant and commentator and formerly served as the Chair of Sarasota's Republican Party.

Perspectives with Rev. Kelvin Lumpkin can be heard on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, airing live on WSLR 96.5 low power FM - Sarasota, Florida's listener supported community radio station.

WSLR programming can be heard online 24 hours a day at: http://wslr.org/listen-live/
